The CARE Equation: Prioritizing Clinician Well-Being + System Change = Sustainable Care

The CARE Equation is a webinar series designed to support physicians, clinicians, and healthcare administrators across North Carolina in reducing burnout, improving retention, and strengthening professional fulfillment.

Each session combines expert insights, current research, and practical tools with opportunities for meaningful interaction. Formats will vary—ranging from panels to fireside chats and focused presentations—to support different learning preferences and attention spans.

The goal of the series is to provide immediately actionable strategies that clinicians and organizational leaders can bring back to their teams, regardless of specialty, career stage, or practice setting.

Who Should Attend:
This statewide series is designed for:

  • Physicians across specialties and career stages, including residents, fellows, and early-career clinicians
  • Advanced practice providers and clinical care teams
  • Healthcare administrators, managers, and organizational leaders

Closing the Gap Between Where You Are and Where You Want to Go
Date: Tuesday, October 13, 6:30pm-7:30pm

 Fireside Chat with Dael Waxman, MD, PCC & Marion McCrary, MD, FACP, FAMWA, NBC-HWC
Brief Description: Applying coaching and QI principles to navigate growth, change, and purpose in clinical practice. 

Also known as Question, Persuade, and Refer (QPR) Gatekeeper Training, this 90-minute workshop equips participants to:

  • Recognize the warning signs of suicide
  • Engage in open conversation
  • Connect someone to the help they need

Who Should Attend:

  • Physicians (including Residents and Fellows)
  • All clinical care team members
  • Community members and interested stakeholders

Details:
In partnership with the Old North State Medical Society’s Let’s Talk campaign and the NC Professionals Health Program (NCPHP), NCCPRW is offering workshops in Scotland and Robeson counties. Sessions are limited to 35-40 participants to ensure psychological safety. Registration closes the Friday before each workshop. Walk-ins are welcome, but lunch cannot be guaranteed without prior registration.
